Drawing on mixed methods methodologies, his research focuses on health system change from technologies. His theoretical lens draws mainly on organizational behaviour. His research is global in nature, with particular interest in the Asian and North American contexts.

His current research focuses on understanding how artificial intelligence (AI) will affect the health system, particularly around physician and patient behaviour. He serves on the AI Advisory Group of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). He has been awarded Michael Smith Health Research BC Research Trainee Award and selected for Canadian Institutes of Health Research–Health System Impact Fellowship.
